It is our mission to empower and encourage students to go out there and give it their best. Because we know if they do it here, in our karate program, they will do it out there in life, too.

Another great benefit to practicing at home is that this will allow YOU – the parent, an outlet to connect over something they are passionate about.

Often, parents ask me why we push our students to do their belt testing every time we have one. Why are we so excited to have students go through the difficult testing process and what are the reasons.

Their testing performance made the entire room go silent where you could hear a pin drop. The pressure of performing in front of all those students and their parents was tremendous.

Over 300 people attended to support and encourage their karate kids in receiving their new belts and awards.

Bring your kids too! We will have a special kids’ area where they can do coloring, decorating, play games, watch a movie, etc… It will be fun day full of sweet refreshments, games and crafts for kids while you shop!

A few years before reaching the milestone birthday of 50, I decided to make earning my black belt at Spicar’s Martial Arts my goal to reach by then. I’d never had issues with birthday numbers before, but that number seemed huge to me. I had a daughter in elementary school and a son enrolled in preschool so I had a few free days per week to take classes. This was my opportunity as I was very familiar with Spicar’s because both of my children are enrolled here. My daughter has earned her black belt and my little guy is on his way. I knew this was the right school for me too.
