Taekwondo National Championships
We just got back from Winson-Salem where we participated in the September 2013 National Tournament. It was an amazing weekend filled with fierce martial arts competition, high rank testing and promotions. Big congratulations to newest Grandmaster, Sid Nelson from Kentucky, on his promotion to 8th Degree Black Belt.
Also, big congratulations to our students who competed - Mr. Robert Sampson on his Spirit Medal, Miss Gaby Pulido on her 2nd Place Silver Medal in artistic forms and Mr. Surya Arakere on his 2nd Place Silver Medal in artistic forms. We are very proud of you!
Students from all across the United States came to show their best effort in order to win medals. It truly had a feeling of small Olympic games. Over 2,000 people swept through the Embassy Suites and Marriott hotels and filled the Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem. The atmosphere was electrifying with hi-speed martial arts action, camaraderie and good times.
We are already looking forward to the National Tournament that will take place in January 2014 right here in Dallas!
