No, there is no such thing as a "double black belt" in martial arts. A black belt is typically the highest rank attainable in a martial arts style, and having multiple black belts in different styles is possible but not referred to as a "double black belt".

On average, it may take 30-40 years or more of consistent training and competition to reach the rank of 9th or 10th degree black belt, but this is not a hard and fast rule. Some individuals may progress more quickly, while others may take longer.

Over 500 excited and motivated competitors from seven states found their way to the Lewisville Convention Center, to compete for gold, silver and bronze medals. Karate students from as far away as New Jersey flew in to prove their skills. Nearly a 180 of them form our school alone!
